The retired Justice of Azad Jammu, Kashmir Chief Electoral Commissioner Abdul Rashid Sulehria, requested the registration, for the party campaign, of Ali Amin Gandapur for donating cash for the elections to the Legislative Assembly, against the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan.
CEC has refused a report filed by Mirpur Raja Shamriz, Returning Officer, and has rejected the actions taken against the Minister of PTI by authorities.
During the July 25 elections campaign, a video of the Minister giving cash led the CEC to note the issue. Viral last week! He also wrote to President Imran Khan, informing him of the AJK Election Commission’s progress and code of behavior.
On Saturday Chaudhry Rasib, a PTI member revealed that Gandapur received cash during the campaign following which Mirpur’s RO took the cash.
Shamriz was chairman of a hearing on Gandapur’s money distribution.
