Ahmad Jawad, Former PTI info secretary joins PML-N

Previously, the secretary of information Ahmad Jawad, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), met with Shehbaz Sharif, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), at Sharif’s Model Town residence on Saturday.

During a meeting with Politician of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore, former PTI senior leader Ahmed Jawad made the announcement. Ahmed Jawad was a former prominent leader of the PTI.

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) fired Ahmad Jawad, its former secretary information, last month for unleashing a social media diatribe against the party’s top leadership, including Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a statement, the PTI’s Standing Committee on Accountability and Discipline (SCAD) said that on January 12, 2022, a show-cause notice was served on Ahmad, who was asked to explain his status within 7 days of receiving the notice. However, the statement added that the disgruntled leader did not respond to the notice.

On January 19, he was handed the last warning to explain his position within three days. Instead of clarifying his viewpoint, the dissident ‘lamented’ that he had written more than 40 tweets “while SCAD had taken notice of only two of his tweets,” according to the SCAD.
