After Punjab by-elections, PTI sees ‘transformation in Pakistan’

A charged PTI saw a “transformation in Pakistan” after leading in Punjab by-elections, which will decide who runs the country’s largest province.

PTI leader Hammad Azhar claimed Hamza Shahbaz’s false administration has ceased to exist.

The PTI has won nine constituencies: PP-217, PP-288, PP-282, PP-83, PP-158, PP-202, PP-224, PP-167, and PP-170. Unofficial results show the PML-N has only won one seat (PP-168).

PTI Secretary-General Asad Umar said pre-election polls pointed to his party’s victory in today’s by-elections.

“PTI wins 16 seats. This is the nation’s win, not PTI’s “ex-minister of planning, development, and special initiatives.

The ex-federal minister said people won’t let anyone decide their fate behind closed doors, and these election results will revolutionize Pakistan’s politics.

Umar stated Pervez Elahi will become Punjab’s chief minister on July 22, the date the Supreme Court ordered elections.

Umar claimed PTI Chairman Imran Khan may not give a speech today because he will call a core committee meeting tomorrow to deliberate the party’s next steps.

“Imran Khan doesn’t like to be in the spotlight when he wins,” he stated, urging party members to be vigilant until final results are in.

Umar stated Shehbaz Sharif is now Islamabad’s premier and that early elections are Pakistan’s only way forward.
