Hollywood actors support Emma Watson after Palestinian solidarity post

Some of the biggest actors of Hollyoowd have come out in support of Emma Watson and the Palestinian cause. These names are including Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo, Peter Capaldi and Charles Dance.

Actress Emma Watson has accused of antisemitism due to her last week’s pro Palestinian protest photo on Instagram. It has accompanied by a quotation by intersectional feminist researcher Sara Ahmed on the importance of solidarity.

More than 40 people, including actors signed a letter expressing their support for Emma Watson. They also expressed meaningful solidarity with Palestinians struggling for their human rights under international law. Directors Asif Kapadia, Mira Nair, and Ken Loach are also among the list of signatories, as is screenwriter and producer James Schamus.

The artists said, “A fundamental power disparity exists between Israel and the Palestinians, as we are all too aware. Military rule and apartheid have imposed on the population. We have committed to supporting the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination.”

Israeli attempts to evict Palestinian families from their homes in the East Jerusalem neighbourhoods of Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan and elsewhere in the occupied Palestinian land are unacceptable.

Israel’s current envoy to the UN remarked, “Fiction may work in her series, but it does not work in reality. The wizarding world’s magic might be able to eradicate Hamas and the PA, if it were to succeed.
