A well-known TV personality and PTI leader Aamir Liaquat Hussain is famous for creating news for the wrong reasons. He has a track record of staying in the public eye by his stormy relationships, head-turning antics and controversial utterances.
Aamir is also a frequent tweeter and some of his opinions have gotten him into trouble. He recently sparked a stir on the micro-blogging site because of his criticism of the country’s soaring divorce rate. It has reported by Aamir on Twitter that more than ten thousand khula degrees has given in one year. Whereas, 100,000 women sought khula from the courts.
He reasoned that certain characteristics of society should be responsible for the growth in the frequency of divorces. He blamed modern women. Moreover, advice from friends and moms, apathy and the false hopes provided by media lead to khula. This generates an otherworldly vacuum which hs termed remorse.
The MNA faced a backlash from the public. Aamir Liaquat married Tuba Aamir for the second time in 2018. His daughter from his first marriage sent out a popular tweet criticising her father’s marriage. In the wake of criticism for not taking care of his first family, he finally answered and said everyone to stay in their limits.
