Members of the Senate Standing Committee on Education and Training voiced their regret that a report on the murder and annoyance of another student of the Islamabad International University was delayed and non-implemented (IIUI).
A sub-committee was created to look into the question and present a comprehensive report on both concerns. Senator Irfan Siddiqui chaired the meeting of the Permanent Committee.
It raised worries that the survey report on the killing of a student and rape of another person was not implemented at the IIUI. It also asked questions on the function of Rector Dr Masoom Yaseenzai, IIUI and Dr Nabi Bakhsh Jamani, Vice-President.
The panel contemplated removing Dr Muhammad Mushtaq from the IIUI law and gained a personal hearing from him during the following meeting.
