The Department of Archeology of Punjab has decided to build a mini zoo at Hiran Minar, Sheikhupura, with the help of the relevant wildlife authorities.
As an iconic representation of the Mughal era, the government decided to release many different deer into the area to make it more attractive.
Malik Maqsood, director of Punjab Archeology, discussed the new developments with reporters, saying that given the historical connection between Hiran Minar and the Mughal empire’s love for deer, the government “has decided to release deer in the area”. In this case, an agreement has been made with the Department of Wildlife Protection, which will set up a mini zoo here.
Similarly, Mudasir Hassan, deputy director of the Punjab Animal Center, said in a statement that the review meeting was held under the leadership of the Punjab Animal and Parks Directorate General Malik Sanaula Khan. Meeting participants discussed housing deer and other wildlife in the mini zoo, including nutrition, care, breeding and sustainable habitat.
The mini zoo project is expected to start in the next few weeks with a number of repeated additions expected as directed by the relevant wildlife authorities.
