A 4-year-old girl, missing two days ago in the Kohat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ward, was “brutally murdered” and did not drown, an autopsy report revealed on Friday.
The post-death report also stated that the minor was sexually assaulted before she was tortured to death. The suspect involved in the murder is still at large.
In this regard, Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sanaula Abasi said that although he claimed to be close to the suspect’s whereabouts, the girl was seen on CCTV footage with a woman in a burqa.
Police took DNA samples from 36 suspects in their investigation into the murder of the underage girl.
According to police, the girl disappeared from the Hatak City Colony on Wednesday, March 24, and her body was found from scratch a day later. The police registered an FIR in the Mills area.
