Cheaters are still being removed from Activision’s famous battle royale game.
Activision continues to remove cheaters from Call of Duty: Warzone. Developer Raven Software recently announced that they imposed two Warzone bans last week and reached over 50,000 accounts in total.
“Fighting recidivists and more,” Raven said of her recent ban. The developer also notes that “time has passed” since the last wave of bans, so it’s been a long time. Activision has banned more than 500,000 Warzone accounts for fraud and other crimes.
While at Warzone scale scams will always be present to some degree simply because of their size and complexity. Activision says it’s working to better mitigate the problem. Some workarounds include getting daily bans and even introducing hardware bans on serial intruders (since many carriers create a large number of fake accounts on consoles to keep cheating).
In other news, Call of Duty: Warzone just increased the average kill time while a new update for Season 4 Reload has now released.
