Dr. Sajjad stated that all out-efforts were being made to control dengue cases in the district, and that the situation with regard to dengue fever was under control. When the climatic conditions change, the likelihood of contracting dengue fever will diminish by the middle of October.”

He stated that the best possible plans had been made for the treatment of dengue fever patients, and that all possible preventive measures had been put in place to prepare for any eventuality. The In-Charge stated that a comprehensive indoor and outdoor monitoring programme was being implemented in various regions of the district in order to prevent dengue larvae from growing. Dr. Sajjad recommended the public to take preventive steps and not to panic because dengue fever is treatable if treated promptly and appropriately. He advised residents to use a mosquito net or mosquito repellants such as mats and coils to keep mosquitoes away from their homes to avoid being bitten.
