3 billion Pakistani rupees from inspection stations taken from Afghan security troops along the Pak-Afghan border crossing have been recovered by the Taliban.
In a statement made by the Afghan Taliban the checkpoint of Afghan troops in the Kandahar area, Spin Boldak, which has been evacuated by the Afghan security forces, showed that about 3 billion in Pakistani money has been recovered.
The Taliban resumed on Wednesday when a spokeswoman announced that they had taken the vital border crossing with Pakistan at Spin Boldak.
In a statement, Taliban spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid stated, ‘The Mujahideen (Taliban) took an important border town, named Wesh in Kandahar.’
The Taliban have gained control of the border verified by Pakistan security officials. The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan said the development was checked.
The Pakistani security source told AFP on anonymity condition that “The Taliban took control of Afghan side of the Chaman-Spin Boldak border crossing.
