Misbah-ul-Haq has confirmed his resignation as head of the national team.
ARY News reported that the head coach has stepped down as head of the selection committee. It was previously believed that the PPC forced the former captain to resign from one of the posts.
The cricket council said it has evaluated Misbah’s performance as a head coach and as a head coach. Also, the new PCB Code of Conduct Conflicts of Interest was drawn up, which could be the source of the decision. Misbah clarified that the meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan is not the reason for his resignation.
Misbah has been in the sights since taking office as head coach and head coach. In addition, he was also associated with Islamabad United and SSGC.
Misbah will continue to work as a head coach until November 30. They will also make the selection for the next series in Zimbabwe and New Zealand.
It remains to be seen who will be the new head of the selection committee. Previously, reports said the PCB was in talks with Shoaib Akhtar for the role of chief selector, but the board denied this.
