Bykea signs agreement with National Institutional Facilitation Technologies epay to enable digital payments

Bicycle transport service Bykea has signed an agreement with National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT), one of the largest payment processors in Pakistan.

The association wants to make digital commercial payments (e-commerce / mobile payments) possible via NIFT’s DFS platform under the brand name “NIFT ePay”. The development allows customers to make digital payments for online services and purchases through the Bykea platform.

Both organizations have recently focused on promoting digital transactions, while Bykea also places great emphasis on the comfort and convenience of its customers, making its Bykea Cash initiative popular and regularly used by customers.

NIFT ePay has implemented a secure and interoperable digital commerce payment gateway that works with any bank account or wallet in Pakistan. This gives Bykea customers the option to make e-commerce payments directly through their bank accounts or wallets, in addition to existing card transactions.

The agreement was signed by Haider Wahab, CEO of NIFT, and Muneeb Maayr, CEO of Bykea at National Institutional Facilitation Technologies headquarters.

Muneeb Maayr, CEO of Bykea, said on this occasion, “The partnership with NIFT brings us closer to providing integrated payment solutions for e-commerce users in Pakistan as it leverages operators and suppliers. of payment services that currently process payments for all financial institutions. “Ecosystem and SME empowerment is the way forward for a financially inclusive Pakistan”.

Haider Wahab, CEO of NIFT said, “Bykea is a unique use case that enables digital payments and services that can be activated through the NIFT electronic payment gateway and we are very happy to enable these use cases. This is exactly the vision behind NIFT ePay and it is very encouraging to see its real manifestation in the market. We are partnering with different industries to enable different use cases that will follow this success. “
