Pakistan has registered 2,074 new corona cases in the last 24 hours, marking the first time since September that the country has reported more than 2,000 daily infections.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), which is in charge of Pakistan’s campaign against the epidemic, the number of fatalities has also reached double digits, with 10 deaths reported on Wednesday.
The countrywide rate of optimism has risen to 4.7 percent, according to the latest data.
In the previous 24 hours, 826,996 persons were administered immunizations across Pakistan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered to 164,475,652 so far this year.
Asad Umar, the Minister of Planning and Development, has stated that coronavirus is still present and that people should continue to battle the epidemic by taking preventive steps, such as wearing masks, to protect themselves.

He had requested that those who have finished their two doses of the vaccine also receive the booster shot.
Umar had previously ruled out the possibility of implementing a state of emergency throughout the country.
In an interview with a local television station, he stated that the NCOC was keeping track of the number of corona virus cases in Pakistan and around the world. He had highlighted that the government was concentrating its efforts at the time on immunization.
