An unidentified 12-year-old girl was abducted and sexually abused on Saturday in the town of Gojra, in the tehsil of Toba Tek Singh district in Punjab province, the country’s most populous state, according to sources.
According to claims in local media quoting reliable sources, a group of four males sexually abused a 12-year-old girl after she was kidnapped and held captive for several hours. With the assistance of a female accomplice, the group inebriated the young girl and her mother. Initially, they were provided juice by an anonymous lady, and they afterwards moved to an unidentified location in the neighbourhood.
According to sources, the girl was moved to a residence on Mochi Wala Road in Gojra, where she is currently residing. After a period of time had elapsed, authorities informed the media that the survivor had been able to flee the residence.
However, in the mean time, an anonymous group of males was named in a gang rape accusation, and an inquiry into the incident is currently underway.
The Faisalabad police department filed a criminal complaint against 11 individuals earlier this month, alleging that they were involved in a gang rape of a female. In this particular instance, the victim was kidnapped when she was heading home to her village after visiting another location. The following day, she was sexually raped by eleven men in an abandoned portion of Faisalabad, where she had been discovered.
Increasing numbers of cases of sexual violence are being reported in Punjab, as indicated by the arrest of two men in August in connection with the rape of a mother and daughter duo in the city of Chung.
