According to statistics from NCOC, 1,119 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, with the number of positive cases rose to 945,184.
Pakistan has also reported 46 more deaths from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours and death toll rose to 21,874 nationwide as of Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Of all the provinces, Punjab remains the hardest hit, followed by Sindh and the KPK. 887,095 covid positive cases have recovered in the country while 2,494 patients are in critical condition.
In total, Pakistan has so far carried out 13,971,689 tests for the coronavirus. 37,196 were carried out in the past 24 hours.
Moreover, vaccination of citizens is in process but some big cities reported shortage of vaccine jabs. Chinese vaccines are not available anymore in many centers. Health authorities said in a statement that there is not any shortage. We have a enough quantity of vaccine doses but due to delivery from far distance results some sort of shortage.
