100,000 people use Punjab Police WhatsApp one day after the launch

More than 100,000 people used the new Punjab Police WhatsApp app on its first day of availability to acquire information more quickly and easily.

A spokesman for the Punjab Police said that many Pakistanis who live outside of Pakistan also use the program. And that number is likely to increase.

Faisal Shahkar, the Inspector General of the Punjab Police. Reportedly introduced the Punjab Police WhatsApp and also the Online Complaint Management System (CMS) on Tuesday (IGP).

You can always reach the Punjab Police at this number: 0331-7871787. Punjabi citizens can contact more than 15 different police departments by texting the same number with the words “Hi” or “Salam.” This will connect them to the right department.

These services include but are not limited to, a complaint cell for the IGP, and a gender harassment complaint form. Police service center services, crime reports, the Zainab Alert, and resources for Pakistanis living abroad. A verification service for domestic workers’ criminal records, and a citizen portal. This number’s main purpose is to get complaints about text messages. Because of this, you can’t make phone calls, send text messages, or trade movies, pictures, or other media.

Anyone with access to the internet can use the CMS. This feature enables people to check the status of a CMS complaint (PCR).

The spokesman went on to say that people who had used WhatsApp now wish to thank the Punjab Police and urged others to call the agency’s emergency hotline, 15.
