10 Million Doses of Covid Vaccine administered in Pakistan: NCOC

In a brief press conference, Head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) Mr. Asad Umar announced on Wednesday that 10 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine have administered in Pakistan. Government as well as the community had done a commendable job following the coronavirus SOP, which reduced the number of cases. Government’s decision to contain the virus had proven “effective” during the third wave of the pandemic.

While this is an impressive achievement, the government wants to speed up the campaign and vaccinate 70 million people by the end of the year. The sooner we get vaccinated, the sooner we can get rid of this threat. NCOC urges people to be vaccinated so businesses can reopen and life in Pakistan can return to normal.

The minister had previously reached out to Twitter to announce that Pakistan would cross the 1,000,000 dose limit today. If Pakistanis choose to do something as a nation, they do it. The head of the NCOC said Pakistan is vaccinating about 300,000 people against the coronavirus daily. As well as more than 300,000 were signing up for the vaccine every day.

NCOC encouraged public to register for vaccinations as early as possible. The federal government has started a digital registration portal where the code is given to a person. You can then go to a specific vaccination site and have a dose.

Government is continue to opening registration for more age groups as the supply of vaccines in Pakistan continues to increase. The vaccination capacity in the country is increasing also day by day to 10 million doses. Since June 3, the country started vaccinating people over the age of 18.
